<p>Many chronic snorers have complaint that most of the snoring products does not permanently cure their snoring. And this is not far from the truth. <p>What is the underlying cause of snoring?</p>
<p>The main reason you snore is because you use your mouth to breathe instead of your nose when sleeping, due to a blockage somewhere in your breathing pattern that forced you to use your mouth. There are many reasons for that blockage, some are due to weak tongue that might drop inside your throat and block the breathing pathway, some are due to excess fats around their neck, some might be caused by medication or substances that you take daily. The blockages varies from individual and thus causing difficulties to really find out which one are hindering you from sleeping soundly tonight.</p>
<p>What is this 2 approach?</p>

You will be happy to know that there are many little things you can adjust in your everyday life that just may make your snoring problem vanish.</p>
<p>Tips To Help You Quit Snoring</p>
<p>Since the reasons behind snoring are many, it is important to first of all determine what is the cause in your case. You can do so by seeing a medical professional or doing your own research. For instance, if you are overweight, you will most likely have a snoring problem. By changing your diet and increasing exercise, you can probably quit snoring.</p>
<p>Overweight people often snore due to extra fat around their neck that closes off their air passages. By losing weight this problem will disappear. There are also some tongue and jaw exercises you can do that will aid you in your quest to quit snoring. A strong jaw will make sure that your air passage stays unobstructed while you sleep.</p>
<p>The position in which you sleep may also have much to do with how much you snore. The worst position for a snorer is to sleep on your back. If you can accustom yourself to sleeping either face down or on your side, no doubt your snoring problem will be eliminated or at least greatly improved.</p>
<p>Since sleeping on your stomach or side may be difficult at first, you may need to come up with something that will make rolling over onto your back while sleeping impossible.</p>
<p>If none of the aforementioned easy fixes do the job, you may need to get professional medical help in order to achieve your goal to quit snoring. If you don&#8217;t merely snore but also find yourself gasping for breath while you sleep, you may suffer from sleep apnea. This is not to be viewed lightly. Seek out the help of your family doctor who may be able to help you or send you to a specialist who can.</p>
<p>Not only is snoring frustrating, if you suffer from sleep apnea your life could actually be in danger. While it is possible to simply put up with snoring, do what you can to quit. If you see results, keep up what you&#8217;re doing.</p>

<p>If you and your spouse suffer from horrible snoring, You are not alone. 23% of couples suffer seriously from this terrible condition.  The problem isn&#8217;t just the irritation of staying awake the whole night or waking up from a spouse&#8217;s elbow over and over again. Not getting enough rest is simply life threatening.</p>
<p>It is life threatening for example when you lose your focus in heavy traffic during the day. In our modern world, losing focus for few seconds is a good way to have an accident.  Its also life threatening because your whole emotional and physical balance will suffer. Nervous breakdown, stroke, and heart-attack are only three examples.</p>
<p>Neither you nor your partner are to blame.  And surely you have attempted some sort of treatment to eliminate the snoring altogether.  Hopefully you haven&#8217;t done like some who have had expensive, dangerous surgery in an attempt to solve the problem only to be worse off afterward.</p>
<p>To be able to cure your snoring, you must know what causes it.  Snoring is always caused by some kind of blockage in the breathing passages.  When the breathing passage is blocked, the airflow (breathing) becomes irregular, not smoothly flowing like it should be.  This irregular airflow slams the soft tissues in your breathing passages around like a door in a wind. Your throat and mouth become like speakers powered by powerful amplifier and your partner can&#8217;t sleep.</p>
<p>When the soft palate (the soft part of the back of the roof of the mouth) begins to vibrate the noise really gets bad.  If the soft palate is weak then the tip of it may bang down on the back of the tongue like a bongo drum.  The tongue may at the same time be dropping into your throat further blocking airflow.</p>
<p>Curing snoring is complicated even though there is only one main cause.  The reason is because most people have more than one type of blockage causing their snoring.</p>
<p>Your snoring can be caused by some or more of the following:</p>
<p>1) Weak tongue falling into the throat blocking it.  If you sleep on your back this is very common and it can also happen when sleeping sideways.</p>
<p>2) Tense jaw muscles put pressure on the breathing passages. This is what many dentist try to deal with by putting in dental implants. An easier way to avoid this is loosening up and relaxing the jaw muscles.</p>
<p>3) I&#8217;ve already mentioned the soft palate earlier.  A weak soft palate can flap and vibrate more easily to make the snoring sounds.  Most of the time it is not that the soft palate is too big, it is that it is too weak.</p>
<p>4) Additionally the soft palate may be too weak and will lay too close to the tongue.  This makes it very easy for it to flap around and make those horrendous snoring sounds.</p>
<p>5) Anything that builds up in your throat works as a dam to your airway.  Most common are cigarette tars or fat in the throat or sinus congestion due to allergies</p>
<p>Can you get rid of the blocks that cause you to snore?</p>
<p>I guess when you look at it, its just a common sense. I&#8217;ve found that you can train this part of your body like any other part. Working out the breathing passages.  Using a few exercises, each focused on one area in and around your throat, will remove ANY block you have. No matter what&#8217;s causing your snoring.  The simplicity of this is that no matter what blocks your breathing passages the same few exercises will cure you.</p>
<p>A stronger, well trained tongue will not drop into your throat when you sleep.</p>
<p>Loosening up the jaw, using the jaw exercises will remove any tension from it. You&#8217;ll be surprised how much easier you&#8217;ll breath after you do the jaw exercises.</p>
<p>The throat exercises open up the throat preventing it from closing when you sleep. They&#8217;ll also strengthen and lift up your soft palate, so it wont flap any more.</p>
<p>You must work smart, not hard.  You choose how long each day you want to work out.  The shortest time should be three minutes.  However long you train every day is up to you.  If you want long term results immediately, it is best to choose to do a program requiring a ten minute per day commitment.</p>
<p>The exercises work more quickly for some than for others but if you go in prepared to do the training and exercises for a full two months, you will in all likely hood stop snoring sooner than that.  If you are ready to really work hard for two full months you are guaranteed a cure for your snoring.  You should be prepared to commit to a two month program to effect a permanent cure.  There is a good possibility you will be sleeping like a baby long before the two months are up.  As will your partner!!!</p>

<p>Since snoring is putting such a strain on peoples relationships, many are forced to sleep apart.  Some have learned how to live with it but there may be underlying resentment. It may be that the throat is tensed, the tongue is pushed back into the throat, the nose is congested, or there is a misalignment of the jaw to cause restriction of airflow.
