(Unless you are like my father who wakes himself up because he snores so violently.) Most people who know they snore are aware because someone else has told them so. Which means it causes enough attention to talk about it.

Seven — You sweat more when you snore. The strain your body is put through when you snore causes you to sweat more while you sleep. Who wants that?

Five — It is embarrassing. Has someone ever approached you about how loud you snore? You can automatically assume they were lying awake, cursing you while they tried to fall asleep, which leads us to the next reason to stop.
Four — Others around you can’t sleep. You are already asleep when you start snoring but others have a hard time falling asleep. The average adult needs 7 to 9 hours of sleep. Snoring can be loud and harsh. Snoring drastically reduces the amount of rest others get.
Third — Your spouse will be happier. Sleep deprived people are cranky. Your spouse will be happier with you because he or she can get more rest and you won’t keep him or her awake while you sleep.
Second — Sleep deprivation. Snoring keeps you from getting the 7 to 9 hours of sleep you need. You may not wake up but you also are missing out on quality sleep that restores your energy.
The Number ONE reason to stop – IT IS ANNOYING. Everyone knows that is not attractive or desirable. You never hear about someone who say’s the Man or woman of my dreams will sound like a lawn mower or a grizzly bear when they sleep. It just isn’t the thing to do.
